All I want for Christmas is .... an immune booster?

Happy Howlidays Pet Parents!

This time of year brings a lot of holiday cheer, but it can also bring some unwanted guests...germs that lead to the not-so-fun sniffles & colds.

It is so important to keep our family's immune systems healthy all year round, but even more so when we are out and about, traveling more and just trying to enjoy the fun family times!

And speaking of family... our pets are part of that equation too!

Not only should we be boosting our own immune system, but our pets could really benefit from the same care, especially if they travel with you or you board them somewhere.

Here are some of my go-to products for Boosting the Immune System:

#1 Amber Naturalz Vibactra Plus - Immune Support - This is a staple for me.

It is an herbal blend that supports the body’s natural defense against bacteria and other yucky things!

For Cats too!

I use it as soon as my dog has loose stool, acts a little off, or as a preventative to boost the immune system when we plan to do road trips or will be around larger groups of people and dogs!

#2 Dr. Becker Beef Bites - Dehydrated beef liver "chips"

Beef Liver is a great source of zinc, which supports metabolism and the immune system!

I'm sure you've heard of vitamin C being a powerful antioxidant and immune system booster, right?

It is also great for our pets...start it up today!

Reducing STRESS & ANXIETY also plays a huge role in illness prevention.

Stress can lead to a weakened immune system which leads being more susceptible to illnesses!

Whether you'll be boarding your pet, bringing your pet along with you on travels, or having the family come over to your house...

Dr. Bach's Rescue Remedy is a must for reducing all kinds of stress for our pets.

I have used this product for so many different reasons for many different pets.

It is an amazing product to have on hand for any type of stressful event - thunderstorms, separation anxiety, fireworks, a busy, loud household, etc.

If your pet could use some other tips & tricks on anxiety-control check out my blog post: Pet Parent Essentials for the nervous pet

CBD is another super helpful option. I like the brand Treatibles.

I also can't go without saying that feeding a biologically appropriate diet to keep your pet healthy from the inside out will be the best thing you can do for your pet.

Not just during the holiday season, but for the rest of their lives!

A raw diet, freeze dried, or homemade (properly made) is the top choice from a holistic perspective, but I realize that feeding those are not always possible financially or otherwise.

I have an entire blog post on choosing a dry food that will help increase the quality, get the most bang for your buck, & lead to a healthier pet (Read it HERE).
