Itchy Pup?

Updated: Sep 23, 2023

One of the most common (and most annoying) things to deal with is an itchy pet, right? If you are tired of your pup itching non-stop and both you and your dog feel like you are going crazy because of it...it's time to Ditch the Itch for GOOD.

First determine if you are dog has a yeast issue. Many of the suggestions will work for plain ol' allergies too, but often yeast is part of the issue that needs to addressed.

If your dog is licking a lot, there will be moisture buildup which is a haven for yeast to grow out of control and lead to more itching.

Have you noticed any of the following...?

  • Itchy paws, skin, and/or ears

  • Patches of hair loss from excessive licking/scratching

  • Skin feels very warm to the touch

  • Any blackened skin areas/ discharge from ears

  • The undeniable "frito" yuck smell

Overall...

your dog is probably miserable and you’re probably feeling frustrated and

maybe even helpless.

The steroids, antibiotics, creams, shampoos, and sprays from your vet may have worked for a short period of time but inevitably the issue returns and you feel like you’re on this never ending cycle.

Your pup feels the same way!

Let's stop that cycle and get them to being the happy companion

you know and love!

Let's talk about Yeast

Yeast is natural in the body, however when there is an imbalance and the yeast gets out of control that is when these symptoms arise.

They are telling you — “hello! There’s a problem here!!”

So let’s help the body fix the problem!

We can do this with some dietary changes, a couple supplements, and a lot of patience.

It’s not going to be an “easy” fix and it can be a slow progression, but I’ve seen dogs improve within a week of incorporating this wellness plan and I want to support you and your pet in this journey.

So, let's get started!

What's the plan?

How to get the yeast under control and ditch the itch:

STEP #1 DIET CHANGE:

First we need to stop feeding the yeast all of the things it loves!

STEP #2: INCORPORATE SUPPORTING SUPPLEMENTS

Then we need to support the body in fighting off the excess and get it back to normal levels.

STEP #3: BATHE & SPRITZ

Soothe & give some relief throughout the process while also treating any secondary infection

Next, let's get into the details of each step.

It's okay if you're feeling a little overwhelmed, I'll be here for you and your furry bestie through each step!

Step-by-Step

STEP #1 DIET CHANGE

Take a look at the diet

(this includes treats!)

Eliminate all chicken, grains, and artificial additives to start.

If you’re open to feeding a raw diet that is amazing. If you’re not quite ready for that kind of change yet, that’s okay too! Eliminating some of those key ingredients is a great start!

STEP #2 SUPPLEMENTS

We need to use products that work with the body to rid it of excess yeast, bad bacteria, and all of the things that are causing that incessant itch!

We also need to replenish beneficial bacteria in the gut which helps to balance the yeast and keeps the harmful bacteria at bay.

STEP #3 BATHE & SPRITZ

Ditch the medicated shampoo and sprays. Those are suppressing the symptoms without treating the cause.

Let’s give your pup a nice bath with a chemical -free shampoo and once fully dry, spritz an antibacterial and antimicrobial spray that will speed up healing and help with any secondary infection.
