natural flea & tick prevention for your dog and cat

Are you one of the many pet parents that have experienced negative side effects from the conventional flea & tick prevention products from your vet?

Or maybe you are on the fence about switching to a more natural approach to Flea & Tick Prevention?

There are many reasons to ditch the pesticide treatments, here are just a few:

  • Harmful Side Effects such as seizures, neurological symptoms - effecting the brain and its normal functions, liver damage, behavioral changes, including aggression, and even death.

  • They are not 100% Effective

  • There are much more effective and SAFER options on the market to prevent fleas and ticks on our pets.

I want to share my Personal Flea & Tick Protocol that I use on my dog, Archie. I've also done this with my past pets including cats!

ALYSSA'S NATURAL FLEA & TICK PREVENTION PROTOCOL:

I have three areas of focus: Internal support, External support, and Home & Yard.

#1 Area of Focus - Internally:

THIS IS MEANT TO REPEL PESTS FROM THE INSIDE OUT; PESTS DON'T LIKE HEALTHY PETS!

  • I feed a raw diet - rotating between several brands. I lean towards a complete & balanced raw diet for many reasons, but if that isn’t in your budget or you aren’t fully sold on that idea yet - feed the highest quality kibble and add some fresh whole foods to your pet’s bowl several times a week.

  • Earth Animal Herbal Drops - added directly to morning and evening meals. This product also comes in a powder form. It contains really great ingredients such as garlic - which changes the flavor of the blood that pests don't like, neem, and other

#2 Area of Focus - Externally:

HERE I UTILIZE PRODUCTS TO REPEL PESTS ON THE OUTSIDE.

#3 Area of Focus - Home & Yard:

THES ARE TWO AREAS WHERE YOUR PET SPENDS THE MAJORITY OF THEIR TIME SO IT IS A NO BRAINER TO PROTECT THEM AS WELL.

TIPS & TRICKS:

IF YOU AREN'T READY TO JUMP RIGHT IN, THAT’S OKAY!

Take it step by step!

If you live in an area with winters that get to freezing temperatures - only give flea/tick prevention during Spring/Summer months.

You may also try giving flea/tick prevention bi-monthly instead of every single month.

Do a detox for your pet following the preventative to alleviate some stress off of the body in ridding itself of the toxins.

Some options for detox include:

Milk Thistle, Herbsmith brand - give a week after the treatment

Amber Naturalz Liver Detox option given for a week prior and then a week following the treatment.

P.S. These are also amazing to do if you do vaccinations with your pet to help detox the body.
